Many goals and objectives are created in our pre-dance program which include: Help children focus on body identification through the use of a designed set of exercises that are set to a weekly theme and innovative music. Help strengthen abdominals, back, legs and ankles. Help increase listening skills and the ability to follow directions in a sequential order. Enhance musical awareness, rhythmic coordination, and knowledge of dynamics through the use of words and music. Encourage muscle memory by assigning specific music to specific movement. Maximize teaching time and overall experience through a continuous flow of movement, imagination and creativity. |
